Fat Jon’s BBQ, Concessions and Such really is located in Murray, IN. The card says Uniondale because there is no post office in Murray: We specialize in low and slow, honest wood-fired pit BBQ that we bring to you. Be sure to check out our menu. If you don’t see anything there that trips your trigger, then just let us know and we will see if we can do it!
My name is Jon Dobson and I’m not really all that fat. (At least I don’t think so.) I have been cooking BBQ for a long time and I am a Certified BBQ Judge, a BBQ Competition Table Captain, and I belong to the Kansas City Barbeque Society, and the National Barbecue Association.
I have a 15 year old daughter, Shelby K, who is my BBQ partner, and we cook together all over the place all season long.
Shelby is a normal 15 year old who thinks her job is to see just how far she can push her parents. But when it comes to BBQ, I will take her anywhere and put her right up there with a lot of the “pros”. Especially when we’re talking about a large wood-fired offset pit like ours, she can make it happen!
You all watch out for her in a couple of more years! She will be a contender.
Last year Shelby and I started a competition BBQ team and we call it “The Fireballs”.
We were so busy with all our other stuff going on we didn’t get a chance to compete till late in the season. Hopefully this year we can cook in a couple more.
